What Is Hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is the condition that causes excessive sweating. Research shows that about 4% of the world population have what can be described as typical hyperhidrosis symptoms.
Hyperhidrosis symptoms commonly include; sweaty feet, hands, face and palms and can cause an individual to suffer from extreme embarrassment in social situations.
A normal existence can become very challenging for any person suffering from this condition. Physical proximity to a sufferer can also be challenging. However, hyperhidrosis can be cured if the sufferer is prepared to work at it.
Root Causes Of Hyperhidrosis Symptoms
The medical condition of Hyperdidrosis needs serious and focused handling. It cannot be ignored in the hope that it will go away or one might ‘grow out of it’.
Hypothalamus is a part of the brain that is responsible for all sweat related functions of the body. The hypothalamus triggers the sweat glands, which are responsible for producing sweat, by sending signals to the glands via the bodies nervous system.
A person sweats, in normal circumstances, when the temperature in their environment rises or when that person experiences physical activity. In the case of a person suffering from hyperhidrosis, the sweat glands produce surplus sweat for no apparent reason, and continually.
Types Of Hyperhidrosis
There are two main categories of hyperhidrosis, Primary or focal hyperhidrosis, and secondary or generalised hyperhydrosis.
- Primary or Focal Hyperhidrosis. Primary or focal hyperhidrosis sufferers complain of excessive sweating in and around the under arms, feet, hands, and even the face. The nervous system, receiving false signals from the hypothalamus, is responsible for triggering these conditions, causing the sweat glands to produce excessive sweat.
- Secondary of Generalized Hyperhidrosis. This type of hyperhidrosis, as the name suggests, causes excessive sweating over the whole body. This condition, generally speaking, stems from some other underlying health condition, such as metabolic disorders, neurological disorders and possibly menopause.
How To Treat Hyperhidrosis Symptoms & all
If a person has extreme hyphidrosis symptoms that cause severe and relentless heavy sweating, different types of treatments can be recommended.
A common treatment for excessive sweating would for the individual to undergo electrical stimulation or Iontophoresis. This treatment is relatively limited and is practised once every four weeks, with four sessions undertaken.
Botox treatment might be successful in reducing armpit sweating, however, it has a very limited one dimensional effect. It just stops the sweat glands from producing sweat. Less sweat is produced, but it comes with the side effects, such as freezing muscles in and around the injected area.
Unfortunately, Botox treatments are not the answer to hyperhidrosis because the remedy (not cure) is only temporary and the benefits quickly wear off.
Other treatments are offered to sufferers of Hyperhidrosis such as; surgery, prescription medication and masking agents. The best way forward is to sit with a doctor and thrash out what is best suited for you personally.
Long-Term Hyperhidrosis Solutions Needed
The long-term solution for Hyperhidrosis is what should be tackled. It is better to address the internal causes of heavy excessive sweating by first tackling all of the known hyperhidrosis factors contributing to the condition.
Remedies are fine in the short term but hyperhidrosis is not a condition that anyone should have to live with. If a person has suffered from it all their lives, then they know that remedies and masking agents are just not good enough.
It is only by addressing the fundamental issues that are the route causes of hyperhidrosis, for any individual, that one can cure oneself of it. This can be achieved through; nutrition, hormonal, psychological and environmental triggers of hyperhidrosis, using a multidimensional & holistic approach to healing.
When it is done as directed, the ‘internal excessive sweating environment’ can be controlled and the condition cured. It is the only safe, natural and effective way a sufferer can ever achieve freedom from hyperhidrosis forever. This route to reversal is lasting!
